Legion Brewing X Taoh Outdoor Gallery 

When Hurricane Helene struck Western North Carolina, it left devastation in its wake. Families and communities were displaced, homes were lost, and many of our friends—both at Legion Brewing and the Taoh Outdoor Gallery—were directly affected. We knew we had to do something to help. 

Together, we asked: What do we have to give? That’s when inspiration struck. 

Outside our taprooms, we had dozens of old whiskey barrels—once used in our beer-aging process—now sitting idle. We decided to donate them to the talented team at Taoh Outdoor Gallery, who connected with local Charlotte artists to turn these barrels into bold, vibrant works of art. 

These one-of-a-kind pieces were displayed at Legion’s Trolley Barn and later auctioned off, with 100% of proceeds going directly into the pockets of artists affected by the storm. The initiative was a grassroots effort to restore hope, rebuild lives, and showcase the creative resilience of our community.
