A Memorable 2025 in the Queen City

As we close out 2025, we’re taking a moment to reflect on a year filled with growth, creativity, and community. For Legion Brewing, this past year honored where we started while continuing to evolve as one of Charlotte’s most community-driven craft breweries.

Brewing Innovation, Rooted in Craft

In the brewhouse, 2025 was a year of momentum. We released first-time beers, refreshed a few Legion favorites, and explored new offerings including non-alcoholic beer options and elevated, seasonal cocktails — all crafted with the same intention and care that define our brewing philosophy.

To celebrate 10 years of Legion Brewing, founder Phil Buchy stepped back into the brewhouse to reimagine Carolina Feather, an award-winning North Carolina lager brewed with local ingredients to honor a decade of craftsmanship and community.

We also celebrated national recognition, with Sláinte earning silver at the World Beer Cup once again — reinforcing Legion’s reputation for consistency, quality, and award-winning beer in Charlotte and beyond.

    Seasonal Menus & Thoughtful Pairings

    At Legion, beer and food go hand in hand. Throughout 2025, we introduced seasonal menu rollouts, hosted tastings, and created specials designed to bring people together around the table. From casual weekday visits to celebratory gatherings, our chef-crafted menus remained a core part of the Legion experience.

    Events, Partnerships & Community Impact

    Community continued to be at the heart of everything we did. Across our Charlotte taprooms, we hosted and supported events that brought people together — from Turkey Trot celebrations and Jaunt car tailgates to sports watch parties, giveaways, and local sponsorships.

    We partnered with community markets like Front Porch Sunday and Second Saturdays, refreshed our Plaza Midwood taproom, and continued investing in experiences that make each Legion location feel like home. In 2025, we were also honored to see our story shared beyond our taprooms with a feature on the TV series Cultured Show, highlighting Legion Brewing as part of Charlotte’s growing food and beverage culture.

    Celebrating 10 Years of Legion Brewing

    This year marked a major milestone: 10 years of Legion Brewing. What began as a single taproom in Plaza Midwood has grown into multiple locations across Charlotte, each shaped by the people who show up, support us, and grow with us.

    Our team, our partners, and our community made every milestone possible. From the brewhouse to the taproom, Legion has always been built on Friends & Beer — and 2025 was no exception.

    As we move into 2026, we’re excited for what’s next. More ideas. More expansion. More opportunities to keep creating meaningful moments — and great beer — alongside the Charlotte community we love.
